After a week of summery heat, temperatures will be more seasonable for the next several days. In fact, it’ll almost feel cool on Wednesday!
Outdoors this morning, we’re still in the tropical airmass we’ve been in for a while. Temperatures are about 10 degrees above average.
It’s also quite humid with dew points in the 60s.
4WARN Live Doppler Radar is rain-free now.
Later today, a cold front will work in from the west, sparking scattered showers. Some of you will get wet. Others won’t. There’s about a 50/50 shot you’ll run into rain. Even if it DOES rain on your neighborhood, collectively, it shouldn’t rain for more than 20-30 minutes….versus yesterday when it rained for several hours during the afternoon and evening.
Notice the rain chance for the Mid State peaks around midday-early afternoon. Any showers that form will wind down quickly this evening.
FUTURECAST, below, looks reasonable in its depiction on how today will go.
As we get into the afternoon, holes in the clouds will let through more sunshine! That will allow temperatures to climb to around 80 degrees.
Tonight, as less humid air moves in, the temperature will fall back into the 50s. Tomorrow looks nice…with low humidity and a high of just 79.
Notice that more rain looks likely on Tuesday through early Thursday. Then, heat will build once again, as we get ready to unofficially kick off summertime.
