Today’s warm weather has me checking the calendar, afternoon temperatures are in the upper 80s, that’s 10 degrees above the average for this time of year. An upper level ridge of high pressure is responsible for the dry hot trend. This unseasonable pattern will continue in part through Thursday. More on that in moment.
First how about tonight? A lot of folks will be downtown and outside at Bridgestone for a party as the Predators will be back on ice at home tonight. It will no doubt be hot outside, but if you have ever been to a hockey game, you know if is cold inside. What to wear?
With a mostly clear sky tonight you may want to check out the sky featuring Mercury and Venus. The best time to see them will be 45 minutes before sunrise. Look to the east.
Tomorrow will be a little more humid. The ridge really starts to break down Thursday and it will be even more humid, that will bring about the chance of isolated rain and thunderstorms. Friday brings an even greater chance of wet weather. Here is the latest Futurecast model.
Right now it looks like Friday night and Saturday morning will be dry. By Saturday afternoon more rain and thunderstorms return as a front approaches Middle Tennessee.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm.
