It has been raining off and on all day, just as expected and more rain is on the way. Some spots have picked up a half inch of rain including Nashville International with .57″ for the day.
More rain tonight along with some gusty winds. Through Saturday some spots could pick up another couple of inches.
An upper level low will keep things unsettled and cooler for Friday with morning lows only in the mid to upper 40s and afternoon highs in the mid 50s. So jackets and umbrellas are a good idea for tomorrow.
Saturday as the low pulls away, more sunshine will warm things to near 70 degrees. Rain is still a possibility but not as widespread. It will come on the backside of the low as it pulls away.
Sunday a pattern know as an omega block will take over for a few days and that means sunshine and a gradual warm up of temperatures. So the weekend is looking pretty good with just a little more rain on Saturday. The sunny forecast will extend into Sunday and Monday.
I always like to let folks know when the International Space Station will pass over, but the clouds will likely obscure the view in the morning. But here is the information anyway.
Fri May 05 4:44 AM, Visible: 3 min, Max Height: 63°, Appears: 20° above SSW, Disappears: 40° above ENE
I’ll have an update on the forecast tonight on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
