This was a beautiful spring day…sunshine, nice breeze, high at 79 in Nashville. That is all changing as this big area of low pressure pushes eastward. Already the clouds have moved in and there have been a few isolated showers pop up. The rain will continue to spread eastward as the night goes on. We could here a few rumbles of thunder, but the severe storms will stay to the south in Louisiana.
I would advise keeping an umbrella by the door or in the car the next few days as we will have on and off showers through Friday. Here is the latest Futurecast depiction that shower rain moving in from west to east tonight and scattered across Middle Tennessee tomorrow.
The temperatures will also be a part of this change. Tomorrow the high will only reach 67 degrees and that should occur early in the day around noon.
I hope you haven’t packed the coats away. It will be even cooler Friday through Sunday mornings, when the lows dip to the mid 40s. With showers again on Friday, the high will only reach 58, not a pleasant day. Saturday will be mainly dry during the day with another found of rain possible that night, high near 70.
High pressure arrives to save the day on Sunday with sunshine and a high near 70.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
On another note, if you haven’t heard today is the Big Payback in Nashville. It’s a day we can all come together and support local charities.
