Easter Weekend Weather

It was a beautiful Good Friday, but a hot one…hot enough to set a record in Nashville. It reached 89 degrees this afternoon. More warm weather for this weekend.

It will be a nice night with a few clouds.  Those clouds may obscure your view, but give it a try, the International Space Station will pass over at 7:51 PM. It will last 6 minutes and appear in the NNW sky and disappear in the ESE sky. The pass over will last 6 minutes.

High pressure will make for a great day tomorrow for Easter Egg hunts across Middle Tennessee including Eggstravaganzoo at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. It’s starts at 9AM. It is possible in the afternoon there could be an isolated shower or two especially along the Cumberland Plateau.

Easter Sunday brings a better chance of rain and thunderstorms.  Right now it looks like Sunday morning will be cloudy but dry, good news for sunrise services.  During the afternoon look for rain and thunderstorms across Middle Tennessee.  I’m not expecting it to be severe.

The front that will trigger the rain Sunday will hang out for the beginning of next week and make for some unsettled weather. That means expect rain Monday and Tuesday with a few thunderstorms.  Highs will still be warm in the mid 70s.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend! I’ll a forecast update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
