Light at the End of a Rainy Saint Patrick’s Day

Clouds blanket Middle Tennessee this morning and mild temperatures are a result! We are talking 27 degrees WARMER than what we woke up to yesterday in Nashville, in the upper 40s. We will take it!

Showers currently jog in from the west (9:14am) and headed eastward. I expect scattered rain to transition into a widespread event by this evening into late tonight. Though severe weather is not anticipated at this time, thunderstorms will be possible from time to time.

Besides warmer upper 50s and a soggy forecast, southerly winds will be on the breezy side, with gusts up to 25 mph at times. Let’s check in with Futurecast for rain-timing…

Besides a few showers for our southeastern counties early on Saturday morning, things dry up quickly and sunshine will be at full force…all weekend long! This will make up for a rainy Saint Patrick’s Day, right? Hang tight! 🙂

I’ll be tracking the rain coming up on Channel 4 at noon today! Hope you join me!

  1. Fred says:

Winter had spent its last good teeth over the last week, and brought the first half of the month more than a degree below the average, but it looks like the remainder of March will be much warmer, so the streak is likely to continue. What else’s new? No complaints about St. Patty’s day though, feels just like Ireland;) .
