Warming Up for the Weekend

So nice to report that after 4 morning lows in the 20s, temperatures are on the rise just in time for the weekend.  It reached 50 degrees today in Nashville. That doesn’t mean it won’t be cold tonight but we are talking 30s instead of 20s.  For areas to the east along the Cumberland Plateau another Freeze Warning has been issued from 11pm to 8am Friday morning.

Tomorrow rain will be moving in starting in the morning and spreading across the mid-state. Here’s the timing on Futurecast.

So you can see that it’s a good idea to take your umbrella along with you. The good news it will be warmer with a high in the upper 50s. Don’t forget to wear green tomorrow to have a little luck of the Irish.

For Saturday there may be a little rain in the morning, but sunshine will be out by afternoon. That will warm things up to the mid 60s. With the weather so nice you may want to take advantage of spring hikes in the many Tennessee State Parks. Many of the parks will have guided hikes where you can not only get exercise but also learn about these wonderful Tennessee treasures.  For more information on these planned hikes Saturday click here.

Sunday will be bright and mild again with a high near 60 degrees. That is perfect weather to be outside.  Enjoy!  Monday marks the first day of spring and temperatures will soar on cue to the mid-70s. Rain and thunderstorms are likely Monday night, but it does not look severe at this time.
