It’s been such an active winter for weather (not necessarily lots of snow — just lots of action (i.e. change))…and this next week will be no different!
We’ll start with tonight. We had a high today of 67. Tomorrow morning, we’ll be at least 30 degrees colder! Have a look…
That means patchy frost is likely here and there, especially in the deepest valleys and along the TN/KY line.
By the way….two recap items to pass along before we continue. First…the National Weather Service in Nashville has finished their storm survey from last Wednesday and have produced an updated map of all the tornadoes and wind damage. Check it out.
To read the full report, with plenty of detail and photos, check out this link: http://www.weather.gov/ohx/20170301
The other weather recap item is the rainfall earlier today. Most areas received between 0.5″ and 1.5″….so it was a good soaking!
Okay…so back to what lies ahead. After a cold start, tomorrow afternoon will be simply gorgeous!! Look at expected highs. What will make tomorrow even nicer is the fact that the wind will be relatively light….AND….we’ll have 100% of the possible sunshine!
Thursday also looks nice, before more rain moves in Thursday night.
Speaking of rain…this weekend will bring about plenty of that, plus serve as a clear reminder that winter’s not over for another two weeks or so. Here’s a preview. The snowflake comment is for Sunday around dawn.
Coming up tonight on Channel 4 News at 10pm, we’ll talk more about the storm due in this coming weekend. I’ll also share additional proof that winter’s not going to surrender easily.
