After a simply gorgeous Saturday (with a high of 69), clouds and showers are entering the picture for this Sunday. Outdoors now, many of us have a veil of high clouds overhead.
Temperatures are quite a bit milder than this time yesterday, running in the 40s for most. SO…a light jacket should do the trick if you’re about to head out.
Clouds will continue to expand in this direction this afternoon. Showers moving into West Tennessee now will enter our western counties, as well.
Despite the increase in clouds and arrival of some showers, temperatures will climb into the 60s.
Here a look at FUTURECAST, which doesn’t show much rain…
These maps below show a little better the likelihood for rain today, by time and by area:
More showers will move in tonight and tomorrow. Then, Tuesday, we expect a band of thunderstorms. Most areas will receive an inch of rain Tuesday…which will help with our rainfall deficit of 2.5″ that already exists for 2017!
Nice weather will move in behind Tuesday’s rain system. We’ll talk about that and cover the likelihood that some of Tuesday’s storms become severe in moments, on Channel 4 News Today…between 8am and 9am. We hope you tune in!
