How about THAT to wake up to on a Friday morning?! My goodness, we are blessed with day number two of refreshing blue skies. After five confirmed EF-1 tornadoes ripped through Middle Tennessee on Wednesday morning, safe to say we were all ready for it. Mother Nature makes up with this view over Saint Henry school…
Don’t let the sunshine fool you, though. It is chill-ay! I shared multiple upper 20-degree spots early on the show, filling in for Paul this morning. It is currently 8:39 am as I type here and most of the region as warmed into the mid 30s to lower 40s. Nothing a few extra layers can’t handle.
High pressure takes a firm grip on us today and clockwise wind will bring in a light northwesterly flow — responsible for a cooler day ahead. Upper 40s to lower 50s are what you can expect. If my forecast high of 50 degrees pans out, it puts us just seven degrees shy of our average.
Once high pressure skirts off towards the east on Saturday, winds will switch gears to be out of the southwest, aiding in a warmer weekend ahead! Nice. Low 60s both on Saturday and on Sunday. The sunshine will be the cherry on top. Picture-perfect for an outdoor run, walk in the park with your furry friend…or even some chores on the lawn!
We don’t stop in the lower 60s. In fact, the temp ladder keeps climbing! Upper 60s will kick start the workweek with low 70s very possible on Tuesday. Is it spring yet? 🙂
This is all warm air ahead of our next approaching system, which brings me to my next point. Showers and even a few thunderstorms move in on Monday night into Tuesday, departing early Wednesday morning.
We’ll cool about ten degrees after the system pushes through on Wednesday and that will carry us through the rest of the week!
I’ll have your full weekend forecast and upcoming workweek shower timeline coming up on Channel 4 at noon today! Hope you join me!
