March 3: Warmer Weekend, Daily Links

One more night to go in our brief March cold spell, as mostly clear skies and light winds allow temperatures to drop to the upper 20s by Saturday morning:

After that frosty start, a rapid warm-up is in store — temperatures will rise throughout the Tom King Classic half-marathon and 5k run in Nashville:

We’ll reach the low 60s for highs by Saturday afternoon!

Into the mid 60s on Sunday, with just a few fair-weather clouds overhead:

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms will move in late Monday into Tuesday…I’m unconcerned about severe weather at this point:
We’ll leave the remainder of the extended forecast mild…one model run this afternoon came in with a HUGE cold snap for next weekend, but it’s an outlier at this point.  We’ll keep an eye on it!
