Wet and Chilly Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentines Day!  I hope it’s been a good one for you.  I woke up this morning to a flurry of text messages from my Middle School Sunday School class wishing me a happy day.  Now, that’s the way I like to wake up, especially when it’s rainy and cold outside.  The high today in Nashville only reached 46 degrees.

My Back Deck Weather side kick Lucy.

The rain has made for a rather gloomy day, but it hasn’t amounted to much, most spots picking up .10″.  There will be more rain moving in tonight. Nothing severe is expected…just good sleeping weather with the pitter patter of rain. By early morning some folks along the Cumberland Plateau could get a little snow as the temperature drops.  It shouldn’t cause any travel problems. Here’s the latest Futurecast.

The sky clears up Wednesday afternoon, but it will remain chilly, high near 50. There will be a big warm up through the rest of the week to the 60s by the weekend. As you see here on the 4 day forecast, rain does return by Saturday.

I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
