The springlike feel that developed yesterday afternoon will continue through this weekend. That’s the good news. The not so good news is that we’ll have to dodge a few showers from time to time.
Early this morning (7:45am), we’re having to do just that. 4WARN Live Doppler Radar shows sprinkles and very light showers here and there.
Temperatures are making it feel more like May outdoors this morning!
It’s warm, in part because of a light southwest wind. A deck of low clouds is also contributing.
Here’s a look across many of our communities on this mild Saturday…
Clouds will win out today, easily….although there will be a few peeks of sunshine in spots. SO, temperatures will rise, but not as much as they typically do. Expect a high late this afternoon in Nashville around 69 degrees.
Temperatures across the rest of the area will be in the mid 60s, in general.
FUTURECAST shows the progression of showers today. It looks a little overdone to me in the amount of showers its depicting. The random nature is accurate though, so they’ll form here and there, with no one area more favored for rain than another.
This evening will bring little change. Because the clouds and light breeze will linger, temperatures will hold around 60 through the overnight.
Tomorrow, we have an even better shower chance than today, but mainly during the morning when a cold front passes through.
Later in the day, cooler and drier air will begin to filter in, especially in Nashville and points north. SO…the high for tomorrow (66 degrees) will be set around midday.
We hope you tune in to Channel 4 News Today from 8:30am – 9:30am. I’ll have much more on your upcoming weather. Alan Frio will also pass along the latest news from overnight.
