Shower and Storm Timeline

Clouds blanket the bright blue across Middle Tennessee this afternoon. Here’s a peak out the window.

Not a single shower coming out of them, though! Perfect for those heading out to grab a bite to

Yesterday Nashville hit 66 degrees for a high, about twenty degrees WARMER than average. Today will run about ten degrees cooler than that, topping out in the upper 50-degree range.

See the mess out to our west, hammering eastern Texas, southern Arkansas and Louisiana? That is headed our way….as soon as late tonight!

Just when you thought we’d see more sunshine.

Good news? Evening commute is in the clear. Starting from the west and spreading east, showers march through late tonight through a good chunk of your Thursday. Though the severe weather threat is to our south, you can count on occasional heavy downpours and some thunder.

Here’s how I expect timing to pan out…

Tail end moisture will lead to a few early AM spotty showers on Friday but that’s about it. 🙂

Rainfall totals are expected to fall between 0.5″ and 1.5″ for most of the region, but locally heavy downpours may potentially lead to a bit more in some places.

Besides the rain talk, check out your temperatures! Wowza. Back to the upper 60s to even low 70s into the weekend. Time to break out the T-shirts and flip flops, once again. Enjoy it!

Dan Thomas will have updates on rain timing coming up on channel 4 at 4 & 6:30 this evening. Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer has you covered on the 5, 6 & 10! I’ll be back with you bright and early, covering for Paul on Thursday and Friday (as he covers for Lisa).

Have a blessed day!
