So there you have it the first snow for our area blew through and is now mostly gone with the exception of a few lingering snowflakes in southern Kentucky. There was anywhere from a few flurries to a dusting in most locations. A few spots in the higher elevations may end up with a little more accumulation. It doesn’t take much to get snow lovers excited and for others to poke a little fun. Check out this photo.

There is another chance of snow coming for tomorrow. This time folks along the Tennessee and Alabama line will be the most likely to receive the snow. Here’s a look at the Futurecast depiction of the next system.
It will arrive early and leave early, exiting by noon. This could bring a little more accumulation to the south, with some areas picking up around an inch. Here’s a look the potential snowfall totals.
Watch out for slick spots on the roads tonight and tomorrow. The temperatures are very cold and elevated roads like bridges and overpasses will quickly freeze. Now speaking of cold temperatures, this weekend, morning lows will drop to the teens and the afternoon highs will only be near freezing. Brrr! get ready for humming heaters.
At least there will be sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. Monday temperatures start to return to near average for this time of the year.
