‘Tis the season for chilly weather, but you wouldn’t know that from this weekend’s weather. We set a record for the warmest Christmas in Nashville. Now more winter-like weather is back.  A front passed by this morning bringing rain, even some gusty winds that brought down a tree and some power lines.  A clear sky and cooler air followed. There were some cool cloud formations this afternoon, this one from Murfreesboro.

The high today was 68 degrees, reached at 1:28AM.  The temperatures have dropped throughout the day into the 50s this afternoon.  With the clear sky, air will cool to 32 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow starts out on a bright note, clouds move in mid day and rain will follow in the late afternoon.  Here’s a look at how Futurecast depicts it.

The rain moves out very early on Thursday, but get ready to hold on to your hat as it will be windy and cooler.  Friday will be the chilliest day of the next 8 with lows in the 20s and highs in the 40s. The New Year will ring in on a wet note for some as another system moves in. Here’s a glimpse at the next 4 Days.

I don’t think New Years Eve will be a washout, but there will be some on and off rain. I’ll have an update on the weather on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
