Rain’s on tap for late today and tonight as our next storm inches closer to Middle Tennessee.
Out ahead of that storm, a light southerly wind is developing pushing our temperatures 10-15 degrees higher this morning than yesterday morning at this time. Take a look at where we stand as of 7:45am.
Clouds are beginning to move in as well…
Rain is very limited now, but some light showers are beginning to pop up over eastern Arkansas and over southeast Missouri.
Those will expand in coverage and slide into our area as we head through the day. FUTURECAST shows that well. Rain should reach Murray, KY and Paris, TN around midday. It’ll move into Clarksville by 3pm. Count on the first showers to reach Nashville between 4pm and 5pm.
That means the Titans game should be dry against the Denver Broncos at Nissan Stadium at noon.
Kickoff temperature is 50 degrees. We’ll likely climb to 54 by the end of the game, as clouds continue to thicken. Again, count on a gusty wind throughout…
The wind will increase some as we go through tonight…and likely peak around midnight.
By early tomorrow morning, it’ll be less windy, as rain exits out of our area…
Final notes on today: Dickens of a Christmas takes place in Historic Downtown Franklin again today…from 10am until 4pm. The Murfreesboro Christmas Parade also happens, at 2pm. Snowbird will be there for the latter. See below for the outlook. It’ll be windy, but fortunately, still dry!
Coming up today on Channel 4 News Today between 8am and 9am, we’ll talk about another round of Arctic air due into the Mid State later this week.
We hope you join us!
