Mother Nature Brings Much Needed Rain!

Yes! The rain has arrived and this is such good news. No heavy downpours, no thunderstorms, just a nice soaking brought by Mother Nature to help our latest drought situation. Here’s where the rain currently sits…

The chance for rain is decent all day on Sunday before diminishing in number after sunset. Areas alongside and east of I-40 can expect showers until around midnight or so.

Not the best news for our parades tomorrow but nothing a poncho or umbrella can’t handle. Low 50s around 2:00 PM for folks headed to Smyrna’s Christmas parade and upper 40s for those headed to Cookeville around 3:00 PM. Snowbird will be hanging out in Cookeville so be sure to say hello and snap a picture with him. He loves selfies. 🙂

I expect a dry patch Sunday overnight into the first half of Monday before system #2 knocks on the door. Showers and thunderstorms will jog into Middle Tennessee during the second half of Monday into Tuesday, some of which could be on the stronger side so you’ll want to stay tuned. A few more showers will be scattered on Wednesday and Thursday but not a wash out by any means. Here’s how much rain I’m expecting through Tuesday…

This will alleviate our latest drought situation, especially for those still under th RED color (extreme drought)…
