After a few days of gloomy skies, sunshine made quite an appearance today. Skies remain clear and temperatures are already below zero for many! Bring out the hot cocoa!
You’ll notice increasing clouds on Sunday but don’t expect any rain…just yet. It will be moisture ahead of our next cold front, bringing some much needed rain into Middle Tennessee. With lack of rain, our drought situation has progressively worsened so this will be very beneficial. Not a complete save but it will help.
Here’s the timeline of when you can expect the rain at your doorstep… Northwestern counties could see a few light showers early on Monday morning but the bulk of the moisture arrives later in the day, let’s say after noon.
Light, moderate and even heavy showers will march through from the west to the east late afternoon. I do expect thunderstorms, some of which could be strong to even severe. Gusty winds will be the main impact out them.
Shower and storm activity reach central Middle TN late on Monday night into the very early morning on Tuesday.
Most of the rain clears before our morning commute on Tuesday morning…
That’s not all, though. Another system pushes through for round number two on Tuesday night into Wednesday. That’s what I’ll be going into depth with coming up on channel 4 at 10 tonight. Here’s a peak ahead…
Have a blessed night!
