Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a nice day with family and friends. Despite having to work, my Thanksgiving has been blessed with loved ones close. Yesterday my children joined me to serve at the Nashville Rescue Mission. This has become a tradition for me. You’ve got to love the hairnets.
The Nashville Mayor is always there too. Here’s Mayor Berry.
So many others have spent their Thanksgiving serving others. I love the stories we have had on the news today of Middle Tennesseans sharing their Thanksgiving with others…from Nashville Cares to the Keith Searcy annual Thanksgiving meal delivery. You can see some of those stories at wsmv.com.
It’s been a cloudy day today, with near average temperatures, the high in Nashville was 59 degrees. In the past we have had some extremes on Thanksgiving. Just 3 years ago it was only 16 degrees.
The clouds stick around tonight, if you are going shopping in the morning there will still be some clouds around with 44 degrees at 6AM.
By afternoon it warm to 62 degrees with some clearing. A dry pattern sticks around through Sunday with near average temperatures.
An approaching front will bring rain and some thunderstorms Monday late which will continue through Wednesday. Some of those storms could become strong to severe. We’ll keep updating you as we get closer to time.
I am thankful for all the wonderful viewers we have here at Channel 4. May God bless you the rest of this holiday season!
I’ll have your weather update on Channel 4 News at 10 pm.
