Nice Looking Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend!

We’ll have good looking weather for most of this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend!  We just have to get through tonight and early tomorrow.

4WARN Live Doppler Radar shows showers continue to move through the Mid State (as of 6:25pm). Much of the action is over eastern Middle Tennessee right now.

These showers will continue to push toward the east.  A few additional showers will slide in overnight, as well.  Take a look at FUTURECAST…

Early tomorrow a few showers will linger…as will the clouds.  However, as shown above, at 7am most of the showers will have ended along the I-65 corridor.  SO, the best shower chance tomorrow (and it’s slight) will be over eastern Middle Tennessee.

That means conditions for the Boulevard Bolt look fantastic!  It’ll be cloudy and cool, but not cold, with just the slightest shower chance.  There could also be a few spots of drizzle here and there (including along the race course).

Now…for those of you flying out tonight, the storm producing our rain in Middle Tennessee is the main event for the country.  That means very few delays are expected across the nation over the next several hours.

Notice the storm….and how tranquil the weather looks for the majority of the United States!

If you’re staying put here in our area, know that our weather will be improving throughout the day tomorrow.  FUTURECAST shows how the clouds will break up, gradually.

By the end of the day, most of us should be able to enjoy at least a little sunshine.  Clouds will hang on the longest over the Cumberland Plateau.

Looking beyond tomorrow, Friday will be partly cloudy and mild — GREAT for bargain shopping.  Saturday looks slightly cooler, but beautiful overall with very little wind!  I’d give it a 9 or 10 rating!  Sunday will warm some, into the 60s.  Then on Monday, the wind will increase and rain and storms will begin to move in from the west…likely late in the day or overnight.  We’ll have to watch Tuesday.  We need rain so very badly and will likely get more than an inch!

However, there also could be some strong storms on Tuesday.  Coming up tonight on Channel 4 News at 10pm, Lisa Spencer will share her latest thoughts on that.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving….and safe travels if you’re leaving town!
