Blanket of Clouds Before Cooler Sunshine

Thick deck of cloud cover makes for a very cool scene in Nashville this morning! Not for long, though. Clouds continue decreasing with high pressure moving in and radiating sunshine takes over…for the days ahead.

Temperatures are not quite as mild as the 61 degrees we woke up to yesterday, but still running much warmer than our seasonal average of 44 degrees.

Three days of  record breaking warmth this week but today marks a change — waving goodbye to the 80s and hello to the 70s. Highs will run very close to the lower 70 degree range, about fifteen degrees COOLER than where we were yesterday. Still considered mild, as 66 is average for this time in early November.

Plenty to do tonight and the weather is on our side! Score. Touchdown Friday forecast is looking very good. No need for the rain gear, just be sure to grab a jacket. Low 60s at kickoff before cooling into the upper 50s by half time.

These temperatures continue dropping….very low! It seems like a cold spell when we compare our latest trend of unseasonably warm temperatures but it’s right back to average! Lower 40s are on tap tonight and on Saturday night.

Speaking of football, Volunteers Homecoming game is tomorrow and the weather could not be more perfect. Not too hot and not too cold — upper 60s under crystal blue skies is what you can expect around 3 PM, kickoff time.dd-football-scoreboard-3

Comfortably warm low to mid 70s during the day — warm jacket weather at night is the main story in the week ahead. The next chance for just a few spotty showers looks to be with an upper level system on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for updates…
