Hot End to October & Start to November

Ding! Ding! Ding! We did it! set the record for the warmest day in November in Nashville.  I’m not sure that is something to celebrate though. Almost 90 in November is crazy.  The old record was 85 from 1950.  We set a record yesterday and more record heat expected

October ended as the 4th hottest in Nashville since records have been kept. It was also the 10th driest on record.  Drought conditions continue across Middle Tennessee.  This has contributed to brush fires and burn bans across the area.

2/3 of the eastern US is dealing with this hot pattern too.

Thursday there is a chance of rain.  It won’t be a drought buster, but we will take anything we can get at this point.  Here’s a look at the Futurecast timing.

The amounts will be light, a .10″ for most and .25″ if you are really lucky. Cooler air moves in behind the front…so back to average for a day or so.

Tonight warmer weather and mostly clear sky may tempt you to go outside this evening.  If you do, look to the southwest sky to see Venus, Saturn and the Moon.

I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
