What a frighteningly warm Halloween afternoon, isn’t it? Take a look at 3pm temperatures across our area…
Last hour Nashville was at 84 degrees. The high temperature record for today is 85, set back in 1950. There’s a good chance we got there already, but we won’t know until the official high is released this afternoon. Either way, this will end up being one of the warmest Halloweens we’ve ever had in recorded history.
This evening looks equally spooktacular! Just a few clouds are rolling through now and will be passing by then. This is what I’m expecting:
Notice the cloud deck over downtown Nashville…
Even though it may look dark in a few parts of the Mid State right now, no rain’s expected this evening, so leave the umbrella behind. We’ll just have clouds.
All this warmth is in response to a strong area of high pressure over Arkansas right now. It’ll stay put until Thursday. That means more highs in the 80s and lows near 60. In fact, we expect record heat again tomorrow!
Come Thursday, we do expect SOME rain. Here’s a look at the latest look at FUTURECAST.
Coming up in less than 30 minutes on Channel 4 News, beginning at 4pm, we’ll tell you much more about this rain system, and will cover when our next cool blast will overspread Middle Tennessee. Don’t be fooled by this warmth. We DO see an end in sight.
We hope you join us!
