Friday Weather and Happenings

Some much needed rain falling across parts of Middle Tennessee.  Although the timing may not be that great…we do need this rain. Nashville is well over 3 inches below the average rainfall for the year and it hasn’t rained at all this month before today. The drought monitor has Nashville listed as dry and locations across the southern mid state in the moderate drought category.

For Friday night football games tonight, I would be prepared with some wet weather gear just in case a few showers move in over your field.

For tomorrow you might see a few showers in the morning, but the afternoon will be clearer and warmer, highs in the 80s. More dry weather and warm weather for Sunday too. Next week temperatures continue to rise and the rain free pattern continues for a few more days.

There are many …many things going on downtown this weekend from football to music.  There will be extra security as a result. For more on that click here.

Many TSU Tiger fans in town this weekend for Homecoming.  The parade is in the morning at 9AM.  Expect a few clouds then, but I don’t think rain will be a problem.  There will be some traffic issues with roads here  for more information on that. The football game is tomorrow night at 6pm.  The weather will be nice and warm.

Down I-40 earlier in the day Tennessee will play Alabama at Neyland Stadium, the weather will be great.

Also to the east in the morning Snowbird will participating in the Stand Stone Parade in Monterey. Click here for more information.

Snowbird will head to the Nashville Zoo in the evening for Boo at the Zoo both Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 7pm.  Wear your costume and prepare for some spooky fun.

Sunday at Cheekwood, you can check out a Japanese Moon Viewing Celebration from 9am to 9pm.  There will be food trucks and music.

I’ll have a weather update on Channel 4 News at 10pm. Enjoy the weekend!
