Wow what a Friday…lower temperatures and less humidity! Hermine is passing well to the east of Tennessee crossing South Carolina and North Carolina now, but it has contributed to the northeast breeze we’ve enjoyed all day.
Dew points will continue to fall and that’s enough to put a smile on your face. Tomorrow morning will be refreshing with morning lows in the low 60s. Tomorrow a strong ridge begins to move towards Middle Tennessee. That will keep it sunny and warm through out the weekend. The temperatures will slowly start to rise back to the upper 80s. And by Monday you’ll feel the humidity creeping back in.
A small chance of rain returns to the area Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. The humidity and the heat will also be on the rise by them.
There’s a lot going on this Labor Day weekend. So much of it is outside…so enjoy. Here are a few happenings…
For the kiddos Thomas the Tank Engine is here for Day out with Thomas at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum. Toot! Toot! That event will be around for several days starting Saturday.
Musicians Corner returns to Centennial Park Saturday from 12n to 5pm. The lovely EmmyLou Harris is on the line up.
A favorite of mine, Shakespeare in the Park is happening at Centennial Saturday, Sunday and Monday night. The pre show starts at 6:30pm and “Comedy of Errors” begins at 7:30pm. There are always food trucks. Take your blanket or lawn chair.
The Make a Wish 5K glow Run is Saturday evening 7pm to 11pm at the Tennessee Safety and Training Center.
Release your inner German at the Tennessee Volksfest through Monday at East Park. There’s food, beer, family fun and music.
What ever you choose to do the weather should be a treat!
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
