Ohh ahh. Picturesque sunrise to what will be an incredibly beautiful day in Nashville today.
If you’ve already stepped outside, I’m sure you noticed the crisp touch in the air. Dew points have dropped significantly into the upper 50s,
dropping our muggy meter arrow back to the comfy range!
Not a single rain drop to point out on the radar which is great timing for those stepping out the door for a morning commute…
This is all thanks to a firm grip of high pressure across the region. Expect bright sunshine, cooler temperatures and low humidity all day. Does it get any better for a Friday forecast? 🙂
Highs will top out in the low 80s, which is actually a few degrees shy of our seasonal average for early September. Check out the wind pattern today. I expect a northeasterly breeze to pick up as high as 30 mph by the afternoon. That breeze is all Tennessee can expect out of Tropical Storm Hermine, as it continues hammering the southeast with flash flooding, storm surge and damaging winds.
Breezy conditions settle down by this evening and skies remain clear which is great timing for some high school football! Expect upper 70s and clear skies from kickoff through half time.
This weather treat is not a brief one. In fact, the entire holiday weekend will be spectacular for any outdoor Labor Day grilling plans. Highs will be back to average in the upper 80s both on Saturday and Sunday. Radiating sunshine will accompany lower humidity so not only will it look beautiful but it will FEEL refreshing out there.
Here’s a sneak peak to what I’ll be going in depth with on channel 4 at noon today…
Be sure to join Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer for updates a 4, 5, 6 and 10 tonight.
