What a beautiful day, isn’t it? Am I right or am I right? Look at these temperatures as of 3pm… Not bad for August!
The pleasant feel in the air today is also due to the much lower humidity. For most of the summer, we’ve had dew points in the 70s. Today, an airmass from the central Plains has taken over, so it’s much drier and dew points are quite a bit lower:
However, that comes at a price. This time of year, air from that part of the country is saturated with pollen. SO…our pollen count is much higher today. Tomorrow will be no different, as well.
This dry air will linger into tomorrow, setting the stage for cool conditions again tonight. Check out lows from earlier today. We’ll have similar numbers on Tuesday morning.
Rain’s going to continue its vacation from our neck of the woods for a bit longer…til at least Wednesday. Coming up today on Channel 4 News, beginning at 4pm, we’ll share more on that. We’ll also cover the return in very hot weather for later this week.
