Rain was more widely spread across Middle Tennessee today. Some folks in the southeast corner of Middle Tennessee even had a few severe thunderstorms to deal with this morning.
We are not done with rain in the forecast yet. More showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight toward dawn and tomorrow. A disturbance will move through triggering the rain and thundershowers. Nothing severe is expected. Expect a some areas to have a slow commute because of the rain in the morning. The same goes in the afternoon. Here’s the 4WARN Futurecast projection from the RPM model.
For Friday Night Football, I would take the wet weather gear just in case, but I don’t think it will rain for the entire game.
More unsettled weather on Saturday. I wouldn’t cancel my outdoors plans but I would have a plan B for the possibility of more showers and thunderstorms developing. A cold front is expected late Saturday into Sunday, this will bring the last of the rain chances for a few days.
A much drier and slightly cooler airmass will move in behind the front.Morning lows will drop back to the 60s and afternoon highs will be in the low 80s. We will likely have dew points in the 50s.. .that is considered refreshing.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm after the Olympics.
