I found myself outside again tonight searching for the International Space Station, but once again clouds obscured my view. Many folks in Middle Tennessee did get to see it. You can see my search in a video I made on our Facebook Live tonight, click here.
The rain and clouds were a blessing for many today. There was much needed rain for folks who have been suffering from drought. But there was also a little too much rain for some. A Flash Flood Watch has been in effect throughout the day. It has now been canceled by the Nashville Weather Service.
There were lower temperatures because of the clouds and rain. The high reached 86 in Nashville, that’s a few degrees below the average high of 89.
The temperatures will creep up and you can expect to see on and off rain and thunderstorm this weekend. I would suggest that you have a plan B for any outdoor activities you have planned. Here’s the way futurecast shows rain over the next 24 hours. Notice it will continue to be scattered. Some of these storms could produce heavy downpours.
An additional .05″ to 1.5″ is possible in many areas through Tuesday.
This doesn’t mean it will rain all weekend long or even that it will rain everywhere, but you can expect showers and thunderstorms scattered across Middle Tennessee.
I’ll have an update on Channel 4 News at 10pm.
