Heavy rain and thunderstorms took a march through Middle Tennessee early this morning. Rumbles of thunder served as Mother Nature’s alarm clock for many and Flash Flood Warnings were issued for numerous counties.
We now wave goodbye to all flood warnings (8:24 pm) and this is what I just snapped on my dinner break. Looks a lot like pink cotton candy in the sky, right? Just beautiful.
If you’re planning on heading out in the town for fun Saturday night festivities, the radar is on your side. Rain-free and clear as a whistle. Yeah! Looking very good…
Temperatures are warm but it is summertime. Upper 70s to lower 80s is perfectly normal for this time in middle July. Our overnight low will gradually dip down to 71 degrees.
Sunday will be the weekend winner! Olay! I have a 20% chance for a few spotty showers and storms but mainly during the afternoon hours. Let’s see how Futurecast tells its story:
Not bad. right?! It is the perfect day to take a dip in the pool so I even made a pool-cast for you…
So your next question may be about the upcoming workweek. Another one for the mister fans. Daytime highs will be cooking back up into the upper 90s by Monday and that is the actual temperature. When factoring in high humidity values, heat indices will be well into the triple digits. Ouch, I know! The best chance for showers and storms looks to be on Tuesday so plan ahead to pack the umbrella that day. A nice dry spell will take over by around mid to late week.
Be sure to join me at 10pm on channel 4 for the full breakdown on timing of the upcoming storm chances. You can also catch Dan Thomas tomorrow morning at 4am. Have blessed night!
