With today’s current temp of 92, we’ve added another to the count of 90+ degree days this year.  Notice the bottom line there.  We still have 71 days to go til fall!

It’s also tremendously muggy outdoors, sending the heat index up over 100F in many of our western communities:

The rain from earlier today has moved out and just a few showers have popped up in their wake…so only a few of us are getting any relief!  Here’s the latest view of 4WARN Live Doppler (as of 3:25pm).

Looking for heat relief this evening in the form of rain?  I don’t see it happening.  There are several clusters of storms across the Mid South, but none looks like it has our name written on it…

FUTURECAST for this evening shows dry weather, all in all.

With heat being the big story, we don’t expect much in the rain department.  We’ll just have a 20% chance for a pop-up shower or thundershower over you.  However, rain will become much more likely heading into the end of the week.  We’ll talk about that and how the weekend could be impacted today, on Channel 4 News beginning at 4pm.
