Happy Weekend…Happy Weather!

Wow, what a weekend!  Serving up a taste of summer with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.  High pressure is taking over with temperatures rising well above the average of 76 degrees.  Today Nashville was near it with a high of 73.  The low this morning was a chilly 47.  Tonight is pleasant, not as cold as the past two.  Nice sunset tonight too.  Notice the clear sky.

Tomorrow with a west wind and loads of sunshine the temperatures will rise to 84.  This will be  a great weekend to be outside, just don’t forget the sunscreen and/or hat.

May is a month for festivals, there are so many things going on. The Main Street Brew Fest is happening in Franklin, see more here.  This weekend in Nashville the Tennessee Crafts Fair is happening in Centennial Park.  There will be artisans from across the state and music.  It goes from 10am-6pm tomorrow.  The fair continues through Sunday.Click here for more information.

In Winchester in Franklin County. the annual International Dogwood Festival is happening. It includes live entertainment, arts and crafts and a car show.  There are events planned during the day and evening through Sunday. Click here for more information.

A return flow of moisture from the Gulf will make Sunday a little more humid.  There will be a warm front parked north of Middle Tennessee.  The area of high pressure should keep the warm front from raining on our Mother’s Day here.

An area of low pressure in the plains will move eastward next week.  A cold front our ahead of it will move our way.  It most likely will not pass through Middle Tennessee until Wednesday.  The week will be unsettled with on and off chances of rain.  There could even be enough instability mid week of  some thunderstorms.  We’ll keep you posted on the possibility of anything severe.

Happy Mother’s Day!
