Clouds were slow to move out on this Good Friday. That keep things cooler. If the sun had of made an appearance earlier today, it would have been 60 degrees instead of 50 degrees. With a northern wind overnight temperatures will fall between 33 and 37 degrees. Cold enough for some frost to form. A Frost Advisory has been issued from 1am to 9am Saturday morning.
So you know the drill, if you set any plants back outside, bring them back in or cover them up. In addition to the frost tonight there is enough moisture around that we may see some areas of fog developing overnight.
Once the sun gets up and going tomorrow it will be a beautiful day. The winds will kick around to the southwest and that will make the perfect afternoon conditions for Easter Egg Hunts.
I wish that great scenario would last through the rest of the weekend but an approaching storm will bring the threat of severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center has put part of Middle Tennessee in a “slight risk” zone for severe thunderstorms. This is a 2 on a 1-5 scale. The greatest threat will be from damaging wind.
So far the weather looks good for sunrise services with some clouds and temperatures near 50 degrees. Right now the most likely window for storms will be from 2pm to 12mid. Nancy Van Camp will be here over the weekend trimming down that forecast window.
At least temperatures will be pleasant.
Have a wonderful Easter,
