Pickles, Olives, & Toll House Pie

I hope you’ve had some great food and great company to share that food with on this VERY special day!  Thanksgiving of course only comes once a year, but truthfully, I wish we had it two or three times.  It’s so nice to just slow down, spend good quality time with people you love, and reflect on all the blessings in your life!

As we celebrated at our house today before I left for the office, my in-laws from North Carolina thought it was strange that on the table amongst the stuffing, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole were dishes of pickles & olives!

For me, pickles and olives are a Thanksgiving staple, as regular as the turkey itself.  I’m not sure who started it in my bloodline.  I just know I want to keep it going.

I also want to carry on our tradition of having Toll House pie for dessert.  Top that with a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and you have perfection!

Doesn’t that look good?  If you’d like to try the recipe, you’ll find it right here:  NESTLE Toll House Pie

I hope some traditions have helped make this holiday extra special for you!  Please….share with me yours!

Happy Thanksgiving!
